Hamiota Agricultural Society

July 21, 2022, is the date of this year’s Hamiota Fair. We have the annual Hamiota Fair mid- July. There are many activities that commence with the pancake breakfast from 6:30 – 8:30 am.

The price of grounds admission of $5.00 entitles you to eat all you want. The breakfast is sponsored by the following Hamiota businesses, Redfern Farm Services, Hamiota Co- op, Hamiota Super Thrifty Drug Mart, Rawlings Home Hardware and Fusion Credit Union. Once you are seated, find a sunny or shady location along the parade route in order to view the many floats of the Parade.

The livestock shows, light horse, heavy horse, miniatures and cattle will be starting right away on the fairgrounds. Weather permitting, the Manitoba Gymkhana Rodeo Association classes commence at 5:00 p.m. at the outdoor arena.

Children’s activities throughout the day include Choo Choo Train, Taffy’s Inflatable’s and face painting and youth activities sponsored by Mid- West Recreation District.  Young and young at heart enjoy the Dog Show featuring Gail Pope, Rico, Walker and Lucas commencing at 12:30 p.m. at the Display building.

All displays are open for viewing at the Complex curling rink at 1:00 p.m.  Also at 1:00 p.m. we hope to have cultural displays in the curling lounge of the Complex.  Food is available on the grounds and at the Complex with a cold plate meal offered at 5:00 p.m.

Following supper you have the choice of the Mid West Arts Council concert (separate admission), a Red Sox baseball game or the gymkhana events.  The swimming pool is open in the afternoon for public swimming and there are camping facilities available (must be booked).
