Hamiota Municipal Park and Campground

Hamiota Municipal Campground is ideally located on the North West corner of the Hamiota Municipal Park. The campground is adjacent to the  aquatic centre, Lions playground, golf course, agricultural buildings, the Hamiota & District Sports Complex, beach volleyball court, soccer field, ball diamonds and equestrian arena.

The campground boasts 45 Full Service Sites with water, hydro and sewer hookup. Suitable for larger camping units, fourteen sites allow for “pull through service”. Located in the parking lot of the sports complex are 10 electrical only sites.

All 55 sites are equipped with fire pits, picnic tables and 30 amp service. Firewood is included with the daily rates.

Modern accessible washroom and shower facilities are conveniently located within the campground and in close proximity to the playground.

Group camping can be arranged within the park for special reunions, gatherings or similar functions.

Reservations will be accepted starting on April 1st at 9 a.m.

The “Hamiota Municipal Park” Voucher can save you money while you relax in Hamiota. If you like a campground that offers all the services, a modern swimming pool and a challenging grass green golf course then you’ll love our deal.

Book a seven night stay at the Hamiota Municipal Campground for the price of six nights.

Upon receipt of your camping fees you will receive a voucher entitling you to a One Day Family Swim Pass at the Hamiota Aquatic Centre

In addition, you will receive from the Hamiota Golf Course – Two Golf for the Price of One for a day.

A ONE NIGHT DEPOSIT FEE by credit card or cash/cheque is REQUIRED to hold all reservations. No exceptions.

Prior to season opening you can call 204-764-3050 ext 106 to submit your credit card information. Cheques can be made out to Hamiota Municipality and mailed to Midwest Recreation Box 568 Hamiota R0M 0T0. Full payment is due upon check-in at the Aquatic Centre.


Deposit for camping will be refunded with notice up to 7 days before reservation date only if a cash/cheque payment previously received. If reservation held with a credit card number and camper does not show up/give proper notice, CREDIT CARD WILL BE CHARGED FOR ONE NIGHT.

Site will be held until noon of the day following the reservation, upon which time it will then be rented out if still vacant.

By creating a reservation, the customer agrees to abide by all applicable rules and regulations that are conditions of a camping reservation. The customer also agrees to be bound by the cancellation policies in effect.

Overflow camping can also be booked by the pavilion. Some picnic tables and fire rings are provided.

Hamiota Municipal Park

The Hamiota Municipal Park is ideally located on the east side of Hamiota. The Park is adjacent to the Hamiota & District Sports Complex, the Golf Course and the Aquatic Centre. It is a host to various community activities and events. Located within the park grounds are the following:

  • Agricultural buildings
  • Six baseball diamonds
  • Beach volleyball court
  • Equestrian arena
  • Soccer pitch
  • Lions playground
  • Disc golf
  • Campground
  • Museums

This area underwent approximately 3 Million dollars of development in the early to mid-1990’s giving the community a comprehensive and broad green space area for community activities and events.
